FAA Certified Instructor

According to the U.S. BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics), a majority of new positions for pilots are going to be with discount airlines, and demand for pilots will increase by twelve per cent between 2011 and 2021 (www.bls.gov). Pilots have to show an FAA certified instructor that they’re qualified to fly an aircraft and complete twelve hundred and fifty hours of flight training. Pilots must demonstrate that they can fly in perfect, night time and low visibility conditions in order to earn FAA certification. In 2008, pilots earned median incomes of $65,340.
Air traffic controllers generally complete their training in a college program certified by the FAA, as FAA employees or in the military. Bachelor’s degree programs which are certified by the FAA can be completed in 2 years. Median earnings of those in air traffic control positions were $111,870 in 2008 (www.bls.gov), according to the BLS.
